My Delusion

Some people rush to be consumers, self seeking overusers
Vast planet abusers
Just take all you can, forget your fellow man
Who needs clean water when we have to please all these shoppers! Mass produce junk
Be the newest trend
Put out that brand new product Who cares if this will be our end? This luxury life is like a painting hung on the wall, it will fall
Our toys and gadgets amounted to nothing at all
Just ask those animals who lost their homes
They wander into suburbia and wind up buried in a hole
People who have nothing but the clothes on their back; they see the black and white while we make things abstract
When the sky rolls back and we see the Lord there
Will you care about your waisteline or the style of your hair?
Will we say, see we tore the world apart and left it bare
But look at my nice house and the TV I have in there!
Yes those kids were starving, but we didn't have the time
We were too busy making the next franchise and high profile clothing line
Run away for this delusion will eat you alive!
What's really important are all the things we've left behind
